FEF OSC

The Embassy of France, through the FEF OSC programme, aims to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of 19 selected CSOs working in priority thematic areas: good health and well-being (SDG 3), gender equality (SDG 5), peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG 16), and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17).

Despite the vital role of CSOs in achieving development goals, many face organizational and systemic challenges, ranging from governance gaps to limited advocacy skills and safeguarding knowledge (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment).

Our delivery of this addresses these issues through a participatory, phased capacity-building programme.

OBJECTIVE

To equip 19 selected CSOs in Nigeria with the strategic, operational, and institutional capacity to design and implement sustainable, rights-based initiatives aligned with the FEF’s thematic priorities.

THE COGNITO PROJECT

The Cognito Project is a social enterprise that uses strategic communication to inspire, amplify, and advocate for health and development initiatives. Our expertise spans development communication, knowledge management, advocacy, social accountability, and visual communication, all aimed at fostering better health and social change outcomes.

In partnership with POD Consulting, The Cognito Project will lead on the capacity strengthening component of this programme — equipping 19 selected CSOs with practical tools in:
